English Grammar Parts of Speach consists of the following: Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction and Interjection. It is recommended that You understand well those terms. If You understand the terms, then You will learn english grammar from any sources such as Grammar Books, Audio as well as Video much easier.

For example, when you read the lesson about Present Tense which explain its Formula (Subject + Verb + es/es), You will find the term such as: Verb.

Imagine if you do not understand what “VERB” is, I think you will not even able to start learning, right?

Well, “VERB” is the word expressing activities such as: Read, Learn, Study, Write, Listen, Go, Sleep, Visit, Teach, etc. Now that you know what the term Verb is.

When you read English Grammar lesson from any book, And the book tell you to make an example of a sentence with “Verb”, you know what to do. It will be easy for you to follow the lesson. This is an example of sentence with “Verb”: You read my blog (READ is verb).

If you are asked NOT to use Verb, such as in Nominal Sentence lesson, then you must ommit the verb. Here is an example: I am a student (no Verb in it).

Here is the example the terms you will find while learning: The Subject of a sentence usually starts with NOUN. But You do not understand what NOUN is. Problem right?

Well, NOUN is “something”. Something that you can see, look and feel. Example of Nouns: Book, Computer, Blog, English Book, etc. But even there is also another type of NOUN that is not visible. This kind of NOUN is called ABSTRACT NOUN, example: freedom, happiness, sorrow, etc. While the previous example (book, computer, etc) are called CONCRETE NOUNT.

If You understand what NOUN is, then reading an english lesson will be easier for You. It is very important that You understand these Terms before You learn any other subject that will use the terms.

I will try to write more detail about each of English Grammar Parts Of Speech in another posts of this blog okay. This time I just want to make sure that You can remember the summary of English Grammar Parts of Speech: Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction and Interjection.

Thank you for reading…

Lets learn about this English Grammar topic: Present Tense for today. I will cover other Tenses such as Present Continuous Tense, Past Tense, Future Simple Tense, etc at our next lesson ok. Let’s Start the lesson

Use Present Tense or Present Simple Tense to express the facts, general truth, your repeating activites that happen again and again.

Present Tense has the following Formula:

Positive Form: Subject + Verb1 (es/es)
Negative Form: Subject + DO/DOES + NOT + Verb1
Interrogative Form : DO/DOES + Subject + Verb1

Example of Present Tense:

-Ellen teaches english language
-I write article for my english grammar blog everyday
-You read my blog often
-ect

Can you make more example of Present Tense?

Negative Form of Present Tense means say NOT. You make it by adding “DO or DOES” + “NOT” after the Subject. As You have added “ES” or “S” to the DO, the You replace the verb back to its normal form (without S or ES)

This is Present Tense in Negative Form example:
-Ellen does not teach english
-I do not write articles for my english grammar blog everyday
-You do not read my blog often

Some of you may prefer to write Don’t for DO NOT or Doesn’t for Does Not

To ask Question (Interrogative Form) in Present Tense, use DO or DOES at the front of the sentences, these are soma examples:

-Does Ellen Tech English Grammar at School?
-Do You write Articles for your english grammar blog everyday?
-Do You read my english Grammar blog often?

That’s quick English Grammar lesson about Present Tense for today. You may read another post for another form of tense.
